The Los Alamos Bus System is an independent transportation system operating throughout Los Alamos County. The system started as a commuter service between White Rock and the main technical area of the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). The system now provides morning and evening commuter service between most residential areas of Los Alamos County and major areas of employment. Transportation for children to daycare and after-school activities and a noon route from major LANL technical areas to downtown is provided. The Los Alamos Bus also offers demand-response and charter service within Los Alamos County.
